Update revealed on Broncos QB Paxton Lynch’s injury

The Denver Broncos handed control of their offense to second-year quarterback Paxton Lynch in Week 12 against the Oakland Raiders, but unfortunately, things didn’t go to plan. While Lynch had his fair share of struggles, completing 9-of-14 passes for 41 yards and an interception.

The Broncos young signal caller suffered a leg injury which resulted in him leaving the game in the third quarter and being replaced by Trevor Siemian. To add insult to injury (literally) Siemian performed a fair amount better, throwing for 149 yards and two touchdowns while nearly leading the team to a comeback.

After the game, there was quite a bit of interest surrounding Lynch’s injury and his status moving forward. The Broncos obviously want to see exactly what they have in Lynch, and it seems like there’s some level of good news, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

If Lynch is able to go in Week 13, it’ll be interesting to see what the Broncos opt to do. Obviously, Siemian looked impressive, but the team really needs to figure out exactly what they have in their young signal caller.

Time will tell, but you’d have to imagine that if Lynch can play, that he’d get another chance to start.
