Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin: ‘We should win it all’

Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin knows that he is leading an extremely talented football team.

The Steelers are tied with the New England Patriots for the best record in the AFC, and put on an outstanding performance against the likely playoff-bound Tennessee Titans in their last game. Tomlin expects that his team will hold up the Lombardi Trophy in February.

“We can win it all. We should win it all,” Tomlin said to NBC Sports’ Tony Dungy. “I sense that about the group. In terms of talent, in terms of having enough competition and depth, I think we check all those boxes.

“But checking the boxes doesn’t run the race.”

Tomlin is correct the Steelers aren’t lacking anything. They entered the season with two of the best offensive players in the NFL—running back Le’Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown.

As the season has progressed, it turns out that they have one of the best defenses in the NFL—which generally is a staple of championship Steelers teams.

The fact that the player who’s performance is questioned the most on the Steelers is quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the team is in prime position with six gamea remaining in the regular season.

As long as they stay healthy, they should be able to give the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots all they can handle in Week 15, and if the two teams should meet in the playoffs.
