The New England Patriots are right back to their dominant ways once again. After an up-and-down start to the 2017 NFL season, the Patriots have reeled off seven-straight wins. It goes without saying that a very large part of the team’s success has been thanks to the superb play of quarterback Tom Brady.
While the defense has seemingly turned things around a fair amount and looks much better at this moment, Brady has been as exceptional as ever. While he’s now over the age of 40, Brady is coming off a month in which he was dominant.
As Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston points out, his strong month has led to him being named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Month. While it’s his 10th time winning this award, which is a record, his numbers are what makes it so incredible.
In a breakdown by Perry, Brady completed 73-of-99 passes for 833 yards, 10 touchdowns and just one interception in three games. He also has a quarterback rating of 128.1 for the month.
If Brady continues this trend, there’s no question that the Patriots are not just going to be Super Bowl favorites, but that they’ll be a tough team for anyone to beat in the playoffs.
