Defensive lineman Ricky Jean Francois has inked a deal with the New England Patriots.
The Patriots signed Jean Francois on Tuesday, the team announced. Details on the contract were not announced at the time of this post.
Jean Francois participated in six games for the Green Bay Packers this season before being released this month.
The 6-foot-3 defensive lineman was originally a seventh-round pick by the San Fransisco 49ers in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played four seasons with the Niners and then joined the Indianapolis Colts. After being released the Colts in 2015, he signed with the Redskins and played two seasons in Washington before signing with the Packers in 2017.
Jean Francois will add depth on a Patriots defensive line in need of some more playmakers.
The ninth-year D-lineman has 155 tackles and 12 sacks in his career.
