New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has made a career out of being detail-oriented and punctual. They’ve been major catalysts for him winning five Super Bowls, but being a football man often means that all goes out the window in your personal life.
Around Christmas time, Belichick’s mind tends to lean heavily towards his job and that means he has a propensity for last-minute Christmas shopping just like the vast majority of American men.
Belichick was given a fluff question about his shopping habits on Friday as the Patriots prepare to take on the Buffalo Bills and continue to pursue home-field advantage in the AFC. And he had to admit that he was “not even close” to being done with his Christmas shopping according to Doug Kyed of NESN.com.
Luckily, Belchick has the personal wealth to grab all the gifts he needs and make sure that they all get to where they need to go in time for everybody to have a very Merry Christmas. And he could probably even get some grunt in the front office to take care of a vast majority of the work involved with buying presents if he really wanted to.
Full disclosure: The author of this article is a notorious last-minute shopper and if you’re one of his family members he assures you that your gifts will arrive in the mail in a timely manner sometime between 2-14 days after Christmas.
