Packers WR Davante Adams addresses Bears LB Danny Trevathan

The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears will hold their second meeting of the season on Sunday and that means Packers WR Davante Adams and Bears LB Danny Trevathan will have to share the field.

The pair met infamously in the middle of the field during their first meeting on Thursday Night Football in Week 4. The result was Adams being pulled out of the game with a concussion and Trevathan serving a two-game suspension for a vicious helmet-to-helmet shot on a clearly defenseless player.

Trevathan and Adams have exchanged a text message since then and, while Adams won’t be seeking Trevathan out, he also doesn’t anticipate any bad blood.

“I’m sure he’ll come up and say something to me, just based on what I’ve picked up with him hitting up Cobb and then finding a way to contact me as well,” Adams said according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. “I think he’ll probably be the one to initiate. I’m not going to go up and find him. There’s no bad blood or anything like that. Obviously I wasn’t too happy about it then. But I look back on it and it’s … everything happens for a reason. I’m on the field today, so it’ll be all right.”

So don’t expect any fireworks between Adams and Trevathan. However, while Adams is taking the high road, it’s still possible that some of his teammates take exception to the incident.
