The New England Patriots notched another record on Sunday.
With a 35-17 win over the Miami Dolphins, Bill Belichick and the Patriots clinched their 17th consecutive season with a winning record, it’s the longest streak since 1970, per NFL Network’s James Palmer.
New England surpassed the Dallas Cowboys from 1970-85 and San Francisco 49ers from 1983-98 who both were tied at 16-straight winning seasons.
The Patriots have been dominant for almost two decades. New England’s won 14 of the last 16 AFC East crowns, including and NFL record 8 straight division champions.
Belichick and company are were on their way to clinching another AFC East championship this season. The defending Super Bowl champs have a 9-2 record entering Week 13.
