Jacksonville Jaguars rookie cornerback Jalen Ramsey and Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green had one of the most memorable moments of the 2017 season.
They got into a fight during the Jaguars and Bengals Week 9 matchup. Green said after the game that Ramsey had been taking cheap shots all game, and that a referee had noticed. Ramsey said on Wednesday that it was trash talk that set Green off.
“I told him almost ever play that he was weak. That he was soft, them is straight facts he just couldn’t handle the truth,” Ramsey said, via the Florida Times-Union’s John Reid. “I told him that his time is almost up. That it was easy, which it was I mean he had 1 catch for six yards.”

In fairness to Green, he only had a single catch because both players were ejected in the first half after the fight. However, it is fun to see a young player like Ramsey not afraid to get in the face of veterans.
There was a lot of pushing and shoving going on with them that extended past the whistle, and it came to a head in the second quarter when Green gave Ramsey a light shove. Ramsey responded by shoving Green to the turf. Once Green got up, he threw Ramsey down to the ground with a choke hold, and added some punches for good measure.
Ramsey also got into it last season with former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. After the game, Smith got in his face on the field. In the locker room Ramsey said that he didn’t respect Smith as man.
