The Indianapolis Colts announced on Thursday that they’ve released veteran cornerback Vontae Davis.
The two-time Pro Bowl cornerback has had issues with the organization in recent weeks, claiming that he was disrespected when the Colts announced that he wouldn’t be making the trip to Houston last week due to a non-football injury, per Mike Wells of ESPN.com.
On Wednesday, it was also revealed that Davis would require season-ending surgery to repair a torn groin that Davis has been attempting to play through this season. So the timing of his release is incredibly odd to say the least.
