Falcons four-time All-Pro wide receiver Juilo Jones is set to miss his second day of the team’s mandatory minicamp and amass another fine on Wednesday.

The Falcons, per the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement, can fine Jones $14,070 for the first day, $28,150 for the second day and $42,215 for the third day, for a total of $84,435. Once new deals are done, the fines are often waived as a show of good will.

However, Bill Polian, a six-time winner of the league executive of the year award and Pro Football Hall of Famer, said on SiriusXM NFL Radio that he always made agents write a check for the fines after hold outs.

Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff has often consulted with Polian.

“The conversation regarding fines will be between Julio, (general manager) Thomas (Dimitroff) and myself,” Falcons coach Dan Quinn said Tuesday after Jones missed his first day. “Those conversations with all players stay private. I certainly thought that he would be here (on Tuesday).”

Once after being fined by Bobby Petrino, former Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall came in the locker room and announced his $10,000 fine to the media.
