Cowboys make Tyron Smith questionable for Week 10 vs. Falcons

The Dallas Cowboys may be without one of their stars along the offensive line when they face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 10. While they are already set to be without running back Ezekiel Elliott due to his suspension, one of his top blockers in Tyron Smith has now been given an injury designation entering the weekend.

As Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reported, Smith is being listed as questionable for the game. He pointed out that Jason Garrett stated that Smith has “made progress with his groin strain throughout the week.” Unfortunately, it hasn’t resulted in him practicing this week.

If Smith is sidelined, then third-year pro Chaz Green would be the expected starter. Green has played in 11 games throughout his career, starting five of them. He started three games in 2017, and also replaced Smith last season when he missed games due to an injury.

Regardless, the Cowboys may be without a few top players, which doesn’t bode well when facing off against the defending NFC Champions.
