Chris Harris Jr.: Tom Brady ‘struggles when he comes to Denver’

The Denver Broncos face the daunting task of ending their ugly four-game losing streak against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Week 10. While that seems like a nearly impossible task on the surface, the Broncos actually matchup well against Brady and the Patriots, according to All-Pro cornerback Chris Harris Jr.

In an appearance on the Stokley and Zach show on Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan in Denver on Tuesday afternoon, Harris said he likes the Broncos chances to upset the Patriots this coming Sunday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

“I think we match up very good against them. We have to stop ‘Gronk’ [Rob Gronkowski], shut him down, stop the running backs out of the backfield. I always love our matchup versus those guys. He [Brady] struggles when he comes to Denver, at least he has in the past. We’ve got to be able to match his points. To beat Brady, you’ve got to score at least 24, 25 [points] to be able beat him. He rarely scores under 20, there’s not too many games [he’s scored under 20 points].”

If you look at the win/loss records, Harris actually has a point.

In his 10 games in Denver, Brady owns an overall record of 3-7 (3-4 in the regular season, 0-3 in the postseason).

With what both teams have shown in recent weeks, it would be shocking if the Broncos were able to pull out a victory against the defending Super Bowl champs.

In the eyes of Harris, the playoffs start right now for the Broncos.

“This is a must-win,” Harris said. “This is the biggest game of the year. Every game is a playoff game in my eyes right now. That’s how I’m going to approach it.”
