Another day, another preseason All-American team.
The latest list of preseason stars was issued by ESPN on Thursday. Four Big Ten players made the team: Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, Ohio State center Billy Price, Wisconsin tight end Troy Fumagalli and Indiana linebacker Tegray Scales. Barkley and Price were also first-team selections on the Associated Press preseason All-American team.
The Big Ten may very well boast the nation’s top two tight ends. Penn State’s Mike Gesicki has been receiving lots of preseason praise, but it was Fumagalli who landed on ESPN’s team. The Wisconsin tight end had 47 catches for 580 yards and two touchdowns last season.
Scales, meanwhile, was the Big Ten’s lone defensive selection. Scales racked up 125 tackles and seven sacks last season.
