Wisconsin DE Chikwe Obasih reportedly suffers leg/knee injury in practice

After a torn ACL ended linebacker Jack Cichy’s season, Wisconsin could be without another defensive starter.

Defensive end Chikwe Obasih suffered a leg/knee injury in practice Wednesday, according to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Jeff Potrykus. The injury is not expected to end Obasih’s season.

Obasih has been a mainstay on the Badgers defensive line the past two seasons, and his production last year earned him honorable mention All-Big Ten. In the season opener Friday, Obasih made one tackle in Wisconsin’s 59-10 win over Utah State.

His status for this weekend’s game against Florida Atlantic is unknown.
