Wisconsin basketball wraps up overseas trip with win

Wisconsin hoops is returning to the states with a 4-1 record after playing preseason exhibition games in Australia and New Zealand.

The “Badgers Down Under” wrapped up the trip with an 83-71 win over the Sydney Kings early Tuesday morning.

Brad Davidson led the way with 23 points, while Ethan Happ also had a nice night with 15 points, nine boards, seven assists and four steals.

Here’s a quick clip of Happ with a nice coast-to-coast steal and score before halftime.

The Badgers lost their fourth game before that to Melbourne United in a close battle.

Throughout the trip, the team has seen contributions from almost everyone with multiple freshmen shouldering the scoring load.

On the horizon is more preseason games starting with an inter-team scrimmage in October before the season gets underway in November. The full schedule can be found here.
