Wilton Speight shares details of transfer from Michigan

Earlier this week, Michigan QB Wilton Speight announced he would be transferring from the program.

Questions of course arose from why the 6-foot-6 signal caller decided to call it quits with the Wolverines. This leads to Friday, as on social media, Speight addressed some of the questions that have come from his decision.

The part of the agreement that says Speight can’t join another Big Ten team or a non-conference opponent of a Big Ten team next year isn’t insanely surprising. This is essentially a norm in today’s world of transferring in college football.

Speight is also not going to be with Michigan for its bowl game either, as he wants as much time as possible with the new program he lands with. The senior has also said that there is no bad blood with the Michigan program, which is a plus for coach Jim Harbaugh.

Speight is the second QB to decide to transfer from the Wolverines this week, as redshirt sophomore Alex Malzone decided to leave as well.
