Welcome to The Podcast on the Plains, SEC Country’s daily Auburn Tigers podcast with host Zac Blackerby. On today’s show, SEC Country’s Lauren Shute joins us to break down the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, the new stadium enhancements and Auburn’s football schedule.
Shute, an AP voter, shared her thoughts on Auburn’s placement in the preseason AP poll and also shares who she put Auburn ahead of in her ballot. Though there was not much difference between the two, she voted Auburn 11, one spot higher than where they ended up.
Shute and Blackerby also discussed the toughest games on Auburn’s schedulen. The popular pick is Alabama, but the two podcast hosts disagree. It’s Georgia. Auburn has been caught looking ahead to Alabama when playing Georgia before and has lost to inferior Georgia teams because of it.
SEC Country’s Benjamin Wolk will join Blackerby on the Friday edition of The Podcast on the Plains at 3:30 p.m. ET to react to Asa Martin’s decision.
