What Paul Johnson said after Georgia Tech beat Virginia Tech

It looked like for a few minutes Georgia Tech would find another way to suffer an excruciating loss on Saturday. But this time, the Yellow Jackets got it done.

Behind an 80-yard touchdown pass from Taquon Marshall late in the fourth quarter, Georgia Tech beat Virginia Tech, 28-22, on Saturday. Marshall completed just 2 passes on 8 attempts, but he threw for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The victory pushed the Yellow Jackets back above .500 at 5-4. Georgia Tech will have to beat either Duke or No. 1 Georgia in the final two weeks to become bowl eligible. The victory on Saturday is huge because now the Yellow Jackets don’t have to beat the top team in the nation to reach the postseason.
