What Matt Luke said his first career win for Ole Miss

After a lengthy off-season filled with controversy, Ole Miss finally got back on the football field. And the Rebels delivered a win for interim coach Matt Luke.

Thanks to a wonderful performance from sophomore quarterback Shea Patterson, the Rebels knocked off South Alabama 47-27. Patterson threw for 429 yards and four touchdowns, while wide receiver A.J. Brown hauled in a school record 233 receiving yards.

And while South Alabama might not be a marquee opponent, the Jaguars did beat Mississippi State in the season opening game last year.

Afterwards, Matt Luke met with the media to discuss the victory.

What Matt Luke said:

Ole Miss has another cupcake next week, as it takes on Tennessee State at noon.
