
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Dan Mullen won’t officially be introduced
at Florida until tomorrow, but everybody has an opinion on the Gators’ new football coach already.
But what do the players think?
Several Gators chimed in on Twitter on Sunday evening addressing the hire and their excitement/approval of the program’s
new direction.
Safety Chauncey Gardner Jr. tweeted a couple emojis with a graphic from ESPN highlighting how Florida averaged 36.3 points
per game during Mullen’s four seasons as offensive coordinator from 2005-08.
Freshman running back Adarius Lemons also seemed intrigued by Mullen’s offensive acumen, tweeting “I think
Mullen(‘s) offense will work juuuust fine.”
Meanwhile, freshman quarterback Jake Allen tweeted “Let’s roll” while tagging Mullen, and junior tight
end C’yontai Lewis noted that Mullen was “the first coach to recognize my talents” during recruiting.
