Tennessee’s coaches and fans will be on the edge of their seats Thursday night when cornerback Jaycee Horn makes his college decision.
Horn will choose between the Vols, Alabama and South Carolina at 7 p.m. at the SEC Country studios.
Where will Jaycee Horn choose?
Horn’s recruitment process has been interesting. The Alpharetta, Ga., product, cut his list to two in June, leaving the Vols off the list.
Tennessee clawed its way back into his recruitment, though, and now appears to be in solid position to land the corner. Horn has said the three schools all have an equal chance and it’ll be hard to pick one.
Horn visited Alabama and Tennessee in late July. His last visit to South Carolina was in June.
The Vols and Crimson Tide seem like the top two options at this point.
I would give Tennessee a slight edge, only because Tennessee has come on so strong of late.
Coach Butch Jones’ persistence in the recruitment of Horn should not go unnoticed. Jones and the Vols coaching staff have worked hard to revive their chances.
Horn rates as a 4-star cornerback and the No. 219 prospect in Class of 2018, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Whoever lands Horn will be getting a solid blue-chip option in their secondary for years to come.
