Wide receiver David Sills V has been sensational for West Virginia from start to end
On Saturday, the junior from Wilmington, Del. joined some elite company during the first half of the Mountaineers’
road game at Kansas State.
Sills recorded 2 touchdowns in the first half of the contest, bringing his season total to 18 touchdown receptions. The
performance made the Sills just the 20th FBS player since 2000 to reach that mark in a single season.
With that touchdown, David Sills V is one of just 20 players since 2000 to record at least 18 receiving
touchdowns in a single season.
Sills is on pace to top the 1,000-yard mark in receiving yards this season. With the way he has played so far on Saturday,
it’s likely that a least a few more touchdown catches are to come before the Mountaineers conclude their regular season
at Oklahoma on Nov. 25.
West Virginia took a 28-20 halftime lead over Kansas State in the game.
