A week after giving up 55 to Iowa, Colin Cowherd has Ohio State at No. 1

Colin Cowherd has had a lot of strange takes. But Saturday might be his weirdest and maybe his worst.

After Ohio State dump-trucked No. 12 Michigan State 48-3, Cowherd took to Twitter to declare that the Buckeyes were the No. 1 team in the country. For real.

Ohio State’s win was very impressive. But the Buckeyes also have two double-digit losses on the season, while teams like Georgia, for now, Alabama and Miami are unbeaten. Not to mention that Clemson and Notre Dame clearly have superior resumes.

Some might try and talk themselves into Ohio State sneaking into the playoffs, and who knows maybe with total chaos, they can. But after one game, against a Michigan State that clearly wasn’t as good as its ranking indicated, it’s a bitter much to call Ohio State the No. 1 team in the country. Trolls are just going to troll.
