Vanderbilt is not messing around with Middle Tennessee State in its opening game of the season, up 21-0 just before halftime. Derek Mason’s team is playing about as well as could be expected at this point in the season, and it looks like Derek Mason might have his best team yet.

However, it does not appear their opponent is all that appreciative of the Commodores beatdown. When star Vandy running back Ralph Webb was tackled in the second quarter, he thought he was getting a hand to help him up from a friendly opponent. But then, at the last second, MTSU CB Mike Minter Jr. snatched his hand away, leaving Webb to fend for himself:

It’s a juvenile move, no doubt, but one that’s bound to garner some laughs, as petty as it is.
