The fake-spike and touchdown pass from UCLA QB Josh Rosen to WR Jordan Lasley is one of the more memorable plays we’ve seen in recent years, as it completed a 34-point second half comeback by the Bruins. But there’s an argument to be made that it shouldn’t have counted:

There’s no doubt Lasley makes the catch, but does he have control when his right foot comes down in bounds? It’s difficult to say, but also crucially important since his left foot clearly lands on chalk. Regardless, the play wasn’t even reviewed, and at least potentially cost Texas A&M the game and a great deal of embarrassment.
