COLUMBIA, S.C. — Coleman Hutlzer, the linebackers coach of the South Carolina football team, met with reporters on Saturday morning at Williams-Brice Stadium.
Hutzler, who doubles as the special teams coordinator, detailed the latest with the Gamecocks place-kicking battle between redshirt freshmen Parker White and Alex Woznick.

Hutzler said the Gamecocks need to “have guys keep coming” at linebacker, to help build depth.
“I think Sherrod Greene and Eldridge [Thompson] have come along,” he said. “They’ve got to continue to practice well, but, obviously, Skai [Moore] and T.J. [Brunson] have had a good fall camp and are really practice and competing at a high-level.
“But those other two have really shown some good things.”
Four practices are left before South Carolina opens the 2017 season at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. against North Carolina State. The Gamecocks are listed as a 6-point underdog to the Wolfpack.
Coach Will Muschamp will meet with reporters on Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock. His weekly call-in show from Wild Wings Cafe is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday.
