On a day when the Oklahoma State defense had trouble all game, cornerback A.J. Green sealed the win for the Cowboys.
Green made an incredible interception in the end zone to put an end to Iowa State’s final drive of the game with less than a minute remaining. Cyclones fourth-string quarterback Zeb Noland threw the ball up for Marchie Murdock in the back of the end zone, but Green was in great position to make the play.

Officials reviewed the play to see if Green and Murdock had simultaneous possession as they went to the ground. In that case, the catch – and the touchdown – would have been awarded to Iowa State.
However, replay showed Green made the catch first. The initial ruling of interception and touchback were confirmed, and Oklahoma State was able to run out the clock.
