When Oklahoma State needed him most, Marcell Ateman was there.

Ateman leaped between two defenders to set up the tying two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter against Iowa State. The score came with the Cowboys trailing 42-34 on a third-and-22 play from the Cyclones’ 30-yard line.

Quarterback Mason Rudolph tried to go Ateman’s way twice on two-point conversion attempts, but the Cyclones were charged with penalties on both plays. Instead, running back Justice Hill took a direct snap to tie the game at 42.

Ateman has 4 catches for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Cowboys cling to Big 12 title contention. But his play excited media and Cowboy fans.
