What does Baker Mayfield’s jump shot look like? According to Oklahoma football coach Lincoln Riley, not great.

The first-year Sooners coach was asked during his weekly radio show if his starting quarterback played any basketball. Riley roasted the Heisman hopeful’s talents on the hardwood without hesitation.

“Oh, he’s terrible,” Riley said on the show. “He admits it, too. I’ve seen him shoot the ball. He needs to stick to football. He’s a guy you’d put in to foul the other guys. He’d be like the Dennis Rodman, the Bill Laimbeer.”

Mayfield is in line to be named the 2017 Heisman Trophy winner, but it doesn’t sound like he’d have nearly the same luck in a basketball uniform.

The former walk-on quarterback’s relationship with Riley has always been strong, as seen by the offense’s chemistry the past three seasons.

Oklahoma will go for its third-consecutive Big 12 championship with Riley on staff and Mayfield as the starter. The Sooners and Frogs will kick off in the revive Big 12 title game at 12:30 p.m. ET, Saturday, on FOX.
