WATCH: Florida State fan kicked out of call-in show for questioning Jimbo Fisher’s loyalty

Florida State Seminoles-Florida State football-Jimbo Fisher

Rumor has it that Florida State administrators have been preparing for coach Jimbo Fisher’s potential departure, as he has been linked to the Texas A&M vacancy as a priority candidate. That would leave the Seminoles looking for a new head coach just four years removed from the program’s first national championship since 1999.

Despite the controversy, Fisher still had his weekly radio call-in show on Wednesday evening. It was going all fine and well until…

The man says, “You ask for loyalty from the fans. I’m wondering, where is the loyalty to the program, Jimbo?” Fisher tries to brush it off with a laugh and responds by saying, “It’s right here on Wednesday nights!”

Yikes.

Florida State has had a miserable 2017 season no doubt. After a 3-5 start that featured losses to Louisville and Boston College, the call was made to reschedule Louisiana-at-Monroe to give the Seminoles a last-gasp shot at winning six games and avoiding missing the postseason for the first time since 1981 — and that game will be played this Saturday at noon ET.

FSU hasn’t won less than seven games since finishing 7-4-1 under Bobby Bowden 31 years ago, and it’s fair to say that the program is in serious jeopardy of changing that. Granted, the ‘Noles have won three of four, but fans are fair to question what their future might hold. One way or another, we can likely expect a decision to be made by Sunday afternoon.
