WATCH: CATbus catches fire on Clemson campus


Students at Clemson went through a scary ordeal on Friday morning when a CATbus caught fire.

The bus caught fire near a Clemson dormitory while transporting students. Thankfully, everybody was able to make it off the bus without injury and there was no damage to any other vehicle due to the fire.

However, as you can see here, the fire raged on and Fort Hill Street eventually had to be shut down for cleanup.

According to a report from, the university is investigating the cause of the fire. Clemson Area Transit is a fare-free service provided for Clemson student and residents through local, state and federal grants.
