WATCH: Arkansas QB Austin Allen surprises his kindergarten teacher on her 80th birthday

In the midst of getting ready for the upcoming season, Arkansas’ starting quarterback made sure to make some time for someone that played a big role in his life.

Teachers can have a major impact on the development of children and Austin Allen is proof of that.

Allen paid a surprise visit to his kindergarten teacher Thelma Thomason on her 80th birthday.

What a heartwarming moment between the teacher and her former pupil.

“From what I remember, she taught me everything really…She laid the groundwork for everything and made everything fun,” Allen said of Mrs. Thomason.

Thomason, who also taught Allen’s older brother Brandon at Vandergriff Elementary, is an ardent Razorback fan.

Arkansas begins the season on Aug. 31 vs. visiting Florida A&M.
