Mack Wilson-Alabama

Want to feel like you’re underachieving this week? Let’s run through a quick timeline for Alabama LB Mack Wilson to drive that point home.

On Saturday, Wilson was carted off the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium during a 24-10 victory against LSU on Saturday night.

On Sunday, he was having surgery on his right foot and it was revealed that he likely would be out for the rest of the season.

By Tuesday, he was back in the gym grinding away on staying in shape. Wait… what?

It’s true. Wilson posted a video to his Twitter account on Tuesday evening showing himself getting some work in at the gym with little regard for his recent injury. The right foot and lower leg appear to be heavily bandaged, but it did not keep the talented Crimson Tide linebacker from getting some work in on his good leg with the jump rope.

Check it out:

The post came just 53 hours after he tweeted a message to fans confirming that his surgery “went great” on Sunday morning.

This may mean very little on the actual recovery timeline for Wilson, but it does show his dedication to his craft. Most of us would still be on the couch trying to recover from the procedure at this point in our recovery from a similar injury.
