Von Miller to donate $100K towards Hurricane Harvey victims through Texas A&M support group

Former Texas A&M star Von Miller is doing his part to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. According to Texas A&M Today, the Denver Broncos linebacker is giving $100,000 in support towards victims by way of BTHO Harvey, an organization created by Texas A&M students.

The Super Bowl champion was proud to contribute to the cause as a captain of the efforts. He hopes his pledge can inspire other Texas A&M graduates to donate as well.

“My participation in this relief effort comes with a willingness to put my hands in the dirt and my boots on the ground alongside my fellow Aggies,” Miller said. “I’m giving $100,000 through BTHO Harvey to the American Red Cross as a challenge to other former students of Texas A&M University to donate what they can to help victims of this horrible tragedy get back on their feet, into their homes, and moving quickly toward some sort of normalcy.”

Texas A&M is also offering free tickets to its first two home games of the season — Sept. 9 vs. Nicholls State and Sept. 16 vs. Lousiana-Lafayette — to victims, first responders, volunteers and others that have offered aid in Hurricane Harvey recovery.
