Virginia Tech doesn’t know who or where they’ll be for their bowl game yet.
But this linebacker has a clear preference for the conference he wants the Hokies’ opponent to be from.
Andrew Motuapuaka said on Thursday that his desire is for Virginia Tech to match up with an SEC team for the second straight season.
His desire stems from continuing to prove the Hokies and the ACC are competitive equals to the SEC.
Motuapuaka wants an SEC team in the bowl: "Kind of show those guys that the ACC is tough too and that we can play with those guys." #Hokies

Virginia Tech defeated SEC team Arkansas 35-24 last season in the Belk Bowl.
USA Today’s prediction would get Motuapuaka his wish, as they’re projecting Virginia Tech to face Kentucky on Dec. 29 in the Music City Bowl.
Meanwhile, Virginia Tech senior cornerback Greg Stroman doesn’t have an opinion on the matter and added that head coach Justin Fuente is preparing the team no matter the opponent.
#Hokies senior CB Greg Stroman said he doesn't worry about which bowl Tech will go to: "Coach says any bowl game is a good game."
