The Virginia Tech Hokies will be without cornerback Adonis Alexander as they take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday in Atlanta.

Alexander has been hampered by a hamstring injury that he suffered during last Saturday’s game against Miami. Leading up to the game against the Yellow Jackets, he was considered questionable, but the team would announced on Saturday that he would not play.

In 6 games, Alexander has recorded 22 tackles, 2.0 tackles for a loss and 1.0 sacks. He also has 4 passes defended, and interception and a forced fumble to his credit. He played in the first two games of the season against West Virginia and Delaware, but a violation of team rules saw him suspended for two games. Alexander would return on September 30 agains the Clemson Tigers.

The Hokies enter Saturday’s game against Georgia Tech at 7-2.
