Tip of the hat to Vanderbilt for this Veterans Day tribute.
While many college football teams are paying tribute to America’s awesome servicemen and women on this football Saturday, the Commodores took it a step further with their uniforms for the Week 11 game against Kentucky.
Derek Mason’s team sported a look that is likely to pull at the heartstrings of any American. In place of their own last names, each Commodores player instead is wearing a black nameplate with the name of a fallen United State solider, with a patch honoring their branch of service on the front of the uniform.
