The Clemson Tigers have one more game to impress the committee before the final College Football Playoff rankings come out on Sunday. But one college football columnist tweeted Tuesday night that he believes the Tigers are already guaranteed a spot in the top 4.
Clemson is in win or lose. Just my opinion.

Most other experts will probably not agree with USA Today’s Dan Wolken. Clemson rose to No. 1 in the new College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday night, but the Tigers still have one blemish on their resume – a defeat at Syracuse in the middle of October.
If Clemson also lost to Miami this Saturday in the ACC Championship, then they will have 2 losses. No 2-loss team has ever made the College Football Playoffs and while Auburn might make it this season as a 2-loss team, those Tigers would be SEC champions should they win this week against Georgia.
At this point, Clemson cannot be a 2-loss team and a conference champion. That doesn’t sound like a recipe to be considered one of the top 4 teams in the country.
Then again, who really knows? It’s been a wild 2017 college football season, and it should be a very exciting final weekend before the final rankings are revealed.
