USA Today 1-130 re-rank: Ohio State No. 1, four Big Ten teams in Top 10

While the AP and Coaches Poll have Alabama as the No. 1 team in the land, USA Today’s Paul Myerberg did his first re-rank of the season and has Ohio State at the top and three more Big Ten teams in the Top 10.

The Buckeyes are No. 2 in both the AP and Coaches Poll, but Myerberg’s list is made to project what the rankings will look like in January.

Also cracking the Top 10 is Wisconsin at No. 6 (No. 9 in AP, No. 10 in coaches), Penn State at No. 8 (No. 6 in both polls) and Michigan at No. 10 (No. 9 in AP, No. 11 in coaches).

Here is Myerberg’s Top 10 followed by where the rest of the Big Ten teams sit.

The college football season is already underway and the Big Ten schedule starts with Buffalo at Minnesota at 7 p.m. on Thursday followed by the Buckeyes at Indiana at 8 p.m. with ESPN College Gameday coming to Bloomington.
