Twitter reacts to AP Top 25 preseason poll, the first of 2017 season

The first AP Top 25 poll of the season has been released, and six SEC schools made the list, including No. 1 Alabama.

This isn’t the first poll to be released during the preseason, but it’s certainly the one to receive the most attention every year. And that includes on Twitter, where fans and experts alike shared their opinions on where the teams placed, or didn’t place.

As expected, the Crimson Tide were atop the poll, and many knew it was coming:

Alabama was the only SEC team in the top 10, but five other conference schools made the top 25, including Georgia, which appears at No. 15. One fan felt that was a fair placement for the Bulldogs:

Meanwhile, LSU is the third-highest team ranked in the poll at No. 13, which one Florida fan felt was too high of a spot for the Tigers:

But one Tigers fan wanted to see LSU higher, including above Auburn, which was the second-highest SEC team at No. 12:

Tennessee was the last SEC team to make the poll, sneaking in at the last spot at No. 25:
