Travon King commits to Rutgers: Scarlet Knights land in-state 2018 athlete

The Rutgers 2018 recruiting class hit the 20 mark when Travon King gave the nod to the Scarlet Knights on Saturday afternoon.

The Camden, New Jersey native is listed as a 3-star wide receiver according to 247Sports but is also listed as a defensive end and tight end. He told Rivals.com that he could either play linebacker or defensive end or offense in college. At 6-foot-4, 200-pounds, King is the 44th best player out of the state of New Jersey and had offers from a number of schools including Purdue, Houston, NC State, UCF and others.

The Scarlet Knights class jumped up a spot to 45th nationally and remained at 10th in the Big Ten.

Yesterday, coach Chris Ash added defensive end/tight end Matthew Thomas.
