Top-rated Illinois SF Talen Horton-Tucker lists 4 Big Ten teams in his list of top schools

The Big Ten nearly made up a third of 4-star small forward Talen Horton-Tucker’s, one of the top basketball talents in Illinois, list of top schools.

Horton-Tucker, a class of 2018 Chicago, Illinois, native, listed Illinois, Michigan State, Ohio State and Michigan, amongst others, in his list of top 13 schools. He announced his list on Twitter Sunday evening.

Making up the rest of Horton-Tucker’s top schools are Kansas, Missouri, St. Louis, Xavier, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Dayton, Iowa State and Georgetown.

According to 247Sports composite, the 6-foot-5, 210-pound Horton-Tucker is ranked as the fourth-best prospect in the state of Illinois and the 28th-best small forward prospect nationally.

He’s a 4-star prospect from Simeon High School, one of Chicago’s most well-known basketball powerhouses, which produced the likes of current NBA players Derrick Rose, Jabari Parker and Jahlil Okafor.

Horton-Tucker currently holds 19 scholarship offers, including offers from Purdue, Northwestern and UNLV. It should be noted, however, that of Horton-Tucker’s top 13 schools, Michigan and St. Louis have yet to offer him scholarship.
