Tommie Robinson is making the rounds during the first week of the NCAA Contact Period.
LSU’s running backs coach and recruiting coordinator was in Alabama for the first two days, checking in on 3-star running back commit Tae Provens on Monday and making his way to 4-star target Harold Joiner Jr. on Tuesday. Robinson will close out the week with an in-home visit to 3-star running back commit Chris Curry on Friday evening, Curry told SEC Country.
Curry was the first tailback to jump on board in the Tigers’ 2018 recruiting class back in June during an unofficial visit for a prospect camp. The Lehigh Acres, Fla., native has remained extremely solid to his pledge despite strong pushes from schools such as Alabama, Florida and Michigan over the past few months.
Curry will not enroll at LSU until the summer, but is a big part of the equation to replace Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams in the backfield in 2018.
