ESPN college basketball analysts think Michigan State sophomore Miles Bridges is the best player in the sport. They ranked Wisconsin junior Ethan Happ second.

But aside from Bridges and Happ, the teams combined to have one other player in ESPN’s top 50 rankings: Spartans sophomore Nick Ward (35th).

Purdue, meanwhile, had three players made the list, the highest number among Big Ten teams.

  • Senior forward Vince Edwards (38th)
  • Senior center Isaac Haas (42nd)
  • Sophomore Carsen Edwards (48th)

These three players are a big reason the Boilermakers were picked to finish second in the Big Ten preseason media poll.
