Jimbo Fisher just got paid big time by Texas A&M.
According to a report from Mark Schlabach of ESPN, Texas A&M approved a 10-year $75 million deal for Fisher, who officially left Florida State for Texas A&M on Friday.
Fisher made $5.7 million this year and was the sixth highest paid coach in the country. If the base pay is $7.5 million, that would make Fisher the third highest paid coach in the country, behind Dabo Swinney and Nick Saban.
Texas A&M also paid Kevin Sumlin $10.4 million in buyout money. The Aggies are shelling out some serious cash.
Sumlin went 7-5 this year, while Fisher and the Seminoles went 5-6. In his time at Florida State, Fisher went 83-23 and won a national championship back in 2013. He is the first coach since Johnny Majors left Pitt for Tennessee back in 1977 to leave a school he won a national championship at for another school.
Fisher is set to be introduced on Monday.
