ATLANTA — Tennessee football has several rivals, from Alabama, to Florida, to Georgia and now South Carolina and Vanderbilt have intensified after last season.
But ask any player, and there’s nothing quite like playing against the home state school, and playing in your home town or home state, for that matter.
The No. 25-ranked Vols play Georgia Tech at 8 p.m. (TV: ESPN) on Monday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
It will be a homecoming for several Tennessee players, as the Vols have always recruited Atlanta and the Peach State thoroughly.
