Tennessee fans paint new message on The Rock: ‘Bring Lane home’

Tennessee-Vols-The Rock

Tennessee fans haven’t been shy about voicing their opinions as their program works its way through a coaching search.

One consistent method of communication through this process has been “The Rock” on Tennessee’s campus. Vols fans haven’t hesitated to speak their mind here, painting strong protests to the hiring of Greg Schiano this week.

Their latest suggestion involves a familiar face: Lane Kiffin

Kiffin was the Vols’ head coach in 2009 before leaving Knoxville to take the USC job. He’s bounced around since then, but ran a successful offense in the SEC as Alabama’s offensive coordinator and has led Florida Atlantic to the C-USA conference title game.

Tennessee’s list of viable candidates is dwindling after the Schiano debacle. If the Vols do decide to turn toward Kiffin, he may decide to be patient and wait for even greener pastures.
