Oklahoma is the favorite over TCU for the Big 12 Championship Game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Dec. 2.
If the Sooners are to emerge triumphant over the Horned Frogs, they’ll have to accomplish a feat never achieved after winning their past three games with TCU.
TCU has never lost four straight meetings with a conference opponent since Gary Patterson became the Horned Frogs’ head coach in 2000.
Oklahoma’s three-game win streak is the longest active streak for any TCU conference foe. Utah defeated TCU in three straight meetings from 2006-2008 when both schools were in the Mountain West Conference.
TCU’s 1-5 mark against Oklahoma since joining the Big 12 is the Horned Frogs’ worst against any single Big 12 opponent.
The Horned Frogs have never played in a Big 12 Championship Game. TCU was named co-Big 12 champions with Baylor in 2014 during the game’s seven-year hiatus. Oklahoma won the most recent Big 12 Championship Game played in 2010.
