TCU basketball boasts the nation’s longest winning streak

It’s been quite a while since the TCU Horned Frogs lost a basketball game.

TCU saw its 2016-17 Big 12 Tournament run come to an end with a Big 12 Championship loss to Iowa State on March 10, but it’s been smooth sailing ever since.

A 19-15 effort saw the Horned Frogs miss the NCAA Tournament, but an NIT invitation proved especially fruitful, as TCU ripped off five consecutive victories to take home the NIT title.

Fast forward to the 2017-18 season and not much has changed.

Seven games into the season, TCU remains unblemished, and paired with its five-game winning streak to conclude the 2016-17 season, the Horned Frogs are currently enjoying a 12-game winning streak, which is good for the longest in the entire nation.

TCU began the season with a 83-73 win over Louisiana Monroe and most recently, knocked off Belmont, 87-76. Throughout its 12-game winning streak, eight victories have come by double digits en route to a collective margin of victory of 15.2 points.

The schedule ahead provides reason to believe TCU’s winning streak likely won’t come to an end ahead of the Big 12 slate, as the Horned Frogs next five games come against Yale, SMU, Nevada, Texas Southern and William & Mary.

TCU will put its college basketball-leading winning streak on the line at 5:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 2 against Yale.
