Gus Malzahn refused to go into detail after Auburn’s 41-7 victory over Georgia Southern, but did mention two of the three players who were suspended on Saturday will return next week against Clemson.
Starting running back Kamryn Petteway and receiver Kyle Davis will return for the Tigers while Sean White will have to sit another week according to the Auburn head coach.
Malzahn did not expound on the suspensions.”That’s completely between me and them,” Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. He said Tuesday no one was suspended.
The Tigers managed just fine without the missing players, but will certainly need them next week against a stout ACC opponent. Kerryon Johnson and Kam Martin picked up for Petteway with 136 yards rushing each. Johnson left with an injury.
Transfer QB Jarrett Stidham managed two touchdowns on 185 yards passing and completed 14 of 24 throws. Davis missed all of spring practice with what Malzahn called “personal business”
